Appropriate cellulose ether HP cellulose grades are insensitive to the alkalinity of gypsum; they can rapidly wet and penetrate gypsum-based products without forming agglomerates; they have no adverse effect on the porosity of cured gypsum products, thereby preserving their breathability; they exhibit a moderate retarding effect without interfering with the formation of gypsum crystals; they provide adequate wet adhesion to the mix, ensuring strong bonding to the substrate; and they significantly enhance the performance of gypsum products, making them easy to spread and non-sticky to tools.
