Four Major Standards for Winter Construction
I. Environmental Standards for Winter Construction: 1. The indoor temperature shall be maintained above 15°C; when the temperature falls below 15°C, application of wall primer or water-resistant coatings shall be suspended.
Putty application: When the temperature is below 5°C, cement-sand mortar leveling and plastering, as well as the installation of wall and floor tiles, shall be suspended; when the temperature is below 8°C, painting operations shall be halted.
Construction.
2. Maintain indoor humidity at 25–40%. When humidity falls below 25%, artificially increase it by placing basins or buckets of water; high humidity
At 40%, ventilation should be enhanced.
3. Indoor ventilation requirements: While maintaining the indoor temperature, natural ventilation should be prioritized; however, strong air convection must be avoided, and centralized…
At air-conditioning heating construction sites, fresh-air circulation should be enhanced. Ventilation should be avoided during woodwork operations before paint application.
4. During paint application, ensure adequate ventilation to prevent the accumulation of harmful fumes and arrange for their discharge outdoors.
5. Dust control: During construction operations that are prone to dust generation, air humidity should be increased, the frequency of cleaning should be raised to reduce dust accumulation, and
During paint application, avoid performing dust-generating operations such as wall sanding at the same time.
II. Material Protection Standards for Winter Construction
1. Stack lumber and panels at least 800 mm away from heat sources to prevent cracking and deformation caused by overheating.
2. In rooms heated by geothermal systems, when stacking lumber and various types of engineered wood panels, wooden blocks must be placed beneath the panels to prevent cracking and warping.
。
3. Arrange every two veneer panels as a pair, stacking them face-to-face in a flat, layer-by-layer configuration, and apply pressure to the top surface using a solid-core board to prevent the veneer panels from curling.
, no deformation, no cracking.
4. Water-based coatings and adhesives should be stored in a warm room; avoid placing them on balconies or in north-facing rooms to prevent freezing damage.
5. Paints and highly volatile chemicals shall be stored separately, away from heat sources, and the storage room must be continuously ventilated.
6. When transporting construction materials, including water-based paints and adhesives, use box-type vans and ensure that the materials are securely wrapped with insulating materials to prevent freezing damage during transit.
7. Three- and five-millimeter-thick decorative panels must not be placed on the top layer of the loaded shipment to prevent deformation or cracking during transportation.
8. Upon arrival at the job site, water-based materials shall be inspected; if any signs of deterioration or degradation are detected, they must be promptly returned to storage and prohibited from use.
III. Standards for Civilized Construction During Winter
1. Designate a material storage area and place fire extinguishers there.
2. After identifying the water intake tap, shut off all other water sources.
3. Enclose and wrap protective coverings around indoor heating equipment, including valves for hot-water heating systems, air vents, and temperature controllers for electric heating systems.
4. Seal off unused drain outlets, ventilation ducts, and other openings, and securely wrap them with plastic film.
5. Seal doors and windows tightly, and ensure they are securely closed at the end of each day’s work to prevent strong winds from damaging them.
6. The on-duty foreman shall inspect the integrity of the heating facilities daily.
7. When mixing cement mortar, cement pressure boards shall be laid on the ground.
IV. Heating Protection Standards for Winter Construction
Underfloor Heating: 1. Drilling or grooving in the floor surface where underfloor heating is installed is prohibited.
2. Do not allow large pools of water to accumulate on heated floors; any small puddles should be promptly cleaned up.
3. Do not place heavy objects on the hydronic manifold for underfloor heating.
4. It is prohibited to arbitrarily adjust the thermostat switch, and it is also prohibited to shut off the water heater’s heating valve during construction.
Electric radiant heating film heating: 1. Ceiling installation is prohibited on ceilings equipped with electric radiant heating film.
2. During luminaire installation, the mounting positions must be determined in accordance with the electric heating film layout diagram to ensure that the electric heating film is not damaged.
3. It is prohibited to drill holes or cut grooves directly above the electric heating radiant film dimmer switch.
Hot-water heating
1. Dismantling any heating pipe fittings, valves, or ancillary equipment is prohibited.
2. Placing objects on radiators is prohibited.
3. It is strictly prohibited to hang any items on heating pipes or radiators.
4. During construction, care must be taken to protect the heating pipelines, fittings, and radiators, particularly the air vents.
Air Conditioning System: 1. Disassembly or relocation of air conditioning equipment is strictly prohibited.
2. Regularly clean the air conditioner’s return-air filter; during high-dust operations, clean it daily, and strictly follow the air conditioner’s user manual.
3. The air conditioner speed control switch shall be set to the medium or low fan speed, and a dedicated protective enclosure cover shall be provided.
