Lianyungang Colored Porous Concrete Pavement Construction Site
A few days ago, a client in Lianyungang provided our company with feedback on the recent construction site conditions for their colored permeable concrete pavement project, expressing great satisfaction with the work. This client had previously purchased from our company Pervious Concrete Binder The appropriate proportions of cement and aggregate were mixed on site under the on-site guidance of our company’s technical staff, ensuring the smooth completion of the project. Why is permeable concrete paving increasingly favored? 2015 was a year of rapid development for sponge cities and permeable pavements, marked by numerous initiatives related to sponge-city construction. The “sponge city” concept represents a new generation of urban stormwater management, referring to a city’s ability to exhibit strong resilience in adapting to environmental changes and mitigating natural disasters caused by rainfall—often described as a “water-resilient city.” Such cities can effectively harness rainwater for storage and drainage, address issues of sewage pollution and foul odors, and promote sustainable urbanization. Through sponge-city development, comprehensive measures such as infiltration, detention, storage, purification, reuse, and drainage are implemented to minimize the ecological impact of urban development and construction, enabling up to 70% of rainfall to be absorbed and utilized on-site. With so many advantages, the growing popularity of permeable pavements is self-evident.
“Sponge City” is a new-generation urban stormwater management concept that refers to a city’s ability to exhibit strong “resilience” in adapting to environmental changes and mitigating natural disasters caused by rainfall; it can also be called a “water-resilient city.” Sponge cities primarily rely on permeable concrete, and the construction of permeable concrete is as follows:
