Different dry mortar products have different performance requirements for redispersible latex powder. Because the tile has good decorative and functional features such as durability, waterproof and easy to clean, its application is very common: including walls, floors, ceilings, fireplaces, murals and swimming pools, and indoor and outdoor can be used. Tile adhesive is a cement-based bonding material for pasting tiles, also known as tile adhesive. Can be used to paste ceramic tiles, polished tiles and natural stone such as granite. Tile adhesive consists of aggregate, Portland cement, a small amount of hydrated lime and functional additives added according to the product quality level requirements. In the past, the bonding materials of ceramic tiles and stone materials were completely mixed with thick layer mortar on site. This method has low efficiency, large amount of materials and difficult construction. However, when bonding large and low water absorption ceramic tiles, it is easy to fall off and the construction quality is difficult to guarantee. The use of high-performance tile adhesive can overcome the above difficulties, so that the decorative effect of the decorative tiles more beautiful, safe, fast construction, saving materials.

The role of redispersible latex powder in tile adhesive is mainly in the following aspects:

(1) the role of fresh mortar:
① Extend the working time and adjust the time;
Improve the water retention performance to ensure the hydration of cement;
③ Improve sagging resistance (special modified rubber powder);
④ Improve workability (easy to construction on the substrate, easy to press the tile into the adhesive)

(2) the role of hardened mortar
It has good adhesion with various substrates, including concrete, plastering, wood, old tiles, PVC;
② uniform in all kinds of climatic conditions, there is a good deformation ability.

With the increase of cement content, the adhesive strength of ceramic tile adhesive increases, and the tensile adhesive strength after immersion and thermal aging also increase. With the increase of the amount of redispersible latex powder, the tensile bond strength of tile adhesive after water immersion and thermal aging increased, but the tensile bond strength after thermal aging increased significantly.
