The data show that the water reducing agent is the most widely used and the largest amount of a product in the concrete admixture, so the concrete admixture in the industry mainly refers to the water reducing agent. Concrete admixture is a product that is equal to or less than 5% of cement mass when mixing concrete, mortar and net slurry or in additional mixing operations, so that the normal performance of concrete can be modified as required.
The use of water reducing agent can save cement, reduce costs, shorten the construction period, improve the construction of concrete, improve the quality and service life of buildings, in energy saving, environmental protection, engineering economy, labor protection and other aspects of significance. With the rapid development of China's economy, the use rate of commercial concrete is gradually increasing, and the use rate of concrete admixture is also increasing year by year. In 2010, the proportion of concrete in the total amount of concrete used in China has increased from 15% in the past to about 30%.

According to the national policies and regulations and the actual situation in various regions, local governments have also issued relevant documents to encourage and support the use of commercial concrete by construction units and construction units, which has greatly promoted the development of the commercial concrete industry. The growth rate of commercial concrete in the central and western regions is developing rapidly.
